What) Let me state a fact that you have probably worked out for yourself by now. At times the Buckys can become or are the result of the obsessive thoughts that occasionally lodge themselves in my brain. I am fortunate in that these thoughts are strong and compelling but don't usually stay that way for long.

That makes this particular Buckys a bit unusual. I made a point of purchasing, photographing and eating one new snack on nearly every driving day that we had.  I tried to pick something appealing that I had never eaten before.  That was easy enough for me to do but I doubt that you will care much about reading through the 26 different snacks that I found. Just click on each of these five links (if they are blue) and the other snack Buckys will have blue boxes around them. Alternatively, you could go back to the main page and try to guess which of the images relate to snacks.

Where) Perhaps you would like to read on and find out.

Why) If I could truly work out all the connections between human brains and obsessions then I would be an incredibly wealthy and powerful man.

At the time we crossed the border into the US, I had been carrying this nail (shown actual size) around in my pocket for 36 days. I had kind of forgotten its existence until Pam gave the wrong answer to the border security guard and they decided to search the vehicle and make me empty my pockets. Fortunately, I was able to convince one of my two searchers that I was carrying the nail around for Lent so they sent us on our way and let me keep the nail. Finally, all my experience being searched at border crossings came in handy.

Purchased in: Minot, North Dakota   Better than last snack: Unknown (I never tasted the nail)   Would I buy it again: No

Because Pam has an interest in nutrition, we made a rule that I had to read her the ingredient list before I was allowed to consume the Snack of the Day.  I enjoyed the challenge of pronouncing all of the ingredients and Pam enjoyed trying to spot all the forms of sugar.

Purchased in: Swan River, Minnesota   Better than last snack: Much better   Would I buy it again: Definitely (Sadly I never got the chance)

Purchased in: Gaylord, Michigan   Better than last snack: Slightly worse   Would I buy it again: Yes

Purchased in: Port Huron, Michigan   Better than last snack: About the same   Would I buy it again: Yes
