Why) Thanks to my third consecutive flame out
in the North America Pairs, I had a day off to wander around
the
streets of downtown Louisville.
We were staying somewhere in this
tower of the
Galt
House Hotel at 140 North 4th Street.
I
found myself admiring the logo more than once.
I
liked The Humana Building at 500 West Main Street but ...
...
despite many tries, this is the best detail picture that I
could take
of an inspiring space.
The
front of Morgan and Pottinger at 601 West Main Street was ok
but I
found the fire escape on the side fascinating.
I
really liked the colour and detail of the stonework at
Morton's Steak
House on 626 West Main Street.
My
favourite discovery was this statue by Fred Ruffenach called
30 years
of Leadership at 6?? West Main Street.
I
took pictures from many angles and ...
...
I found it hard to take one that I didn't like.
We
both know that I knew about this bat at the Louisville
Slugger Museum
& Factory (800 West Main Street) before I got to
Louisville.
I saw this manhole cover on the edge of the downtown area.
We
used the Ageon Center at 400 West Market as a landmark
during our week
in Louisville. (1)
I
liked the dome on top but I forgot to inquire about a tour.
