What) Journey back to a time when high tea was a staple of life via this charming year-round venue in a Victorian-era Summerside B&B that also offers consistent Canadian bistro fare, all at excellent prices. Tea service requires 24-hour advance notice but book ahead for lunch and dinner too, because its two distinct, beautiful rooms (antique furnishings, fine china) and patio are tiny. If you’d like wine then bring your own, they’ll pour it for free. (1)

Why) Before we go to play bridge in a city for a week, I like to check the internet for restaurant recommendations. When I checked in February of 2012, tripadvisor.ca said the top ranked restaurant (out of 43) in Summerside was Skip's Fish N Chips. (2) After a week of trying out places I had come to believe that until a friend we met at bridge suggested Miss Daisy's.  We ended up eating there twice and the food is as good as any at my favourite places in other bigger cities. If you are ever in Summerside this is the only place you should eat at.

From the outside, Miss Daisy's appears to be a private residence but ...

... if you look closely at the right side of the previous picture then you can just make out this sign.

I got this picture of the interior from their business card.

When we walked by on a day the restaurant was closed we got to see it's namesake peering forlornly out the window.
